The National Service Club provides a courtesy van to our members. The van operates only in the Hastings, Flaxmere, and Havelock North areas, where they will pick you up and drop you back home.

A minimum of 2 persons/couples per trip leaving the club to Hastings/Flaxmere/Havelock North
The driver will have limited change so the correct fare will be greatly appreciated. Credit card and eftpos options are not available.

Member & guest behaviour
Whilst we pride ourselves on being the “friendliest club in the bay”, we do believe it’s vey important to provide both safe and welcoming environment for all our members and guests.
Therefore we have expectations of our members and their guests such as:
Refraining from swearing or use of profanity while in the Club
No bullying or demonstrating bully behaviour to others
Fighting will NOT be tolerated
Intoxicated behaviour could result in no longer being served and/or being asked for leave (this includes being sent home in the courtesy van)
Deliberate destruction of Club property or facilities will NOT be tolerated
Theft of property, that of the Club or club members will be treated seriously and investigated as such
We reserve the right to review, suspend, or revoke a persons membership should any of these things occur. As a member of the National Service Club, YOU are responsible for your guests and their behaviour.
Should the behaviour of another member concern you please see any of the committee members or the Duty Manager.
Visitors book & dress code
All guests and visitors are required to sign the visitors book. These are requirements of our Club’s sales and supply of alcohol license so you may be asked to prove that you’ve signed in as a guest. The only exception to this is are people visiting from other Clubs NZ Affiliated Clubs with reciprocal rights. In this instance please be aware that you may be asked to provide proof of membership to that club.
At the National Service Club we expect visitors, guests, and members to adhere to the Dress Code. Tidy dress, and clean footwear is required - No gumboots, singlets, or offensive printed shirts. All headwear is removed unless there is a medical/religious reasons.
LIVE ENTERTAINMENT & JUKEBOX
We offer live entertainment at the National Service Club, featuring both bands and solo artists who perform regularly. Stay informed by checking out flyers around the club, following our Facebook page for announcements, or tuning in to announcements on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights.
During times without live performances, our popular Jukebox takes center stage, especially after member cashpot draws. Additionally, on rare occasions, some members bring out their guitars for an enjoyable sing-along session adding to the community spirit.

Our Club offers a versatile function room, accessible to all members at no cost. For non-members, a nominal hire fee applies to use this space. The function room has hosted a variety of events, including weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, conferences, and presentations, but the possibilities are endless.
To secure this fantastic space for your event, whether it's a special celebration or a professional gathering, simply reach out to us to reserve your preferred date. As this is available to all club members, some dates fill up quickly, so kindly provide as much notice as possible to secure your preferred date. We look forward to making your event a memorable one.
